Emily has been a Splasher since childhood, when her mother brought home a tray of vernal pool water. Emily spent hours hovered over the trays watching the critters swim around and eat each other.
Her favorite critter is the Aquatic Beetle Larvae or “Water Tiger”. If she were a super-villain, she would have a giant pet water tiger that would curl up in her lap to be petted. Her favorite plant is Miniature Lupine because she loves how the white banner petal turns pink after the flower has been pollinated. Plants are so smart!
In 2006, Emily graduated from Mount Allison University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. Since then, she has worked full-time at Splash, coordinating field trips, developing new programs, and preparing the organization for life as a non-profit. She is firmly committed to the Splash mission and believes that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and play in nature, as she did.
