Amy’s experience as a teenager at a Marine Biology camp sparked her love of nature and interest in science. She is currently an Environmental Science student at Oregon State and has a certificate in Field Ecology from Sacramento City College. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of animals and nature with kids and adults. She is most interested in the weirdest and grossest critters, the slimier the better!
Amy’s favorite Splash critter is the Western Spadefoot because of how cute they are and the interesting way they dig underground to survive the dry phase. Her favorite vernal pool plant is the Vernal Pool Monkeyflower because its shape and coloring makes it look like it has a face.
