Fees & Awards
The show will be judged by Patricia Abraham, T.W.S.A.
Awards: Best of Show $300, additional cash
awards to be determined
Fee: $15 per submission, non-refundable
Commission: 30% commission on artwork sold during the show
All artwork must be for sale. Submit only original work completed within prior 3 years. 2-dimensional artwork only. Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media will be accepted. No photography. No prints or giclees.
Artwork must have a vernal pool theme such as vernal pool prairie landscapes or the plants and animals that live there. Pieces must be framed, or have finished canvas edges, with secure wire backing for hanging. The artist’s name, address, phone number, title of artwork, and sale price must be on the back of each painting.
Online Submission: All submissions shall
be made online at www.sacsplash.org/artists. Submissions will be
accepted on line starting June 1, 2013. Deadline for
entries: August 10, 2013, 11:59 pm.
Notification: A list of accepted entries will be available on the Splash website on August 19, 2013. Announcement of prizes and winners will take place at the Opening Reception on September 21, 2013.
Hand Deliver Work: Artwork selected for the show shall be delivered to the Splash Education Center on Saturday, September 7, from noon to 6:00 pm. Directions are available at www.sacsplash.org/contact-us.
Artist Reception and Show Opening: Saturday, September 21, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Awards at 7:00 pm.
Liability: Splash will be diligent in care of artwork but is not responsible for loss or damage that might occur. Insurance is the responsibility of each artist.
Removing Work: Unsold artwork shall be picked up at the Splash Education Center on October 18 and 19, from noon to 6:00 pm.
