Parts of a Flower

March 20, 2020

This lesson will take you on a tour of all the different parts that make up a flower, and their individual functions. It will answer the questions “Why do plants have flowers?”, “Why do plants rely on pollinators and how do they attract them?”, and “How do plants reproduce?” A worksheet with a flower diagram and vocabulary is included.

Extension: Try this lesson using a real flower from your backyard or a nearby park! Dissect and identify each part.
