Save the Splash Program: Email your County Supervisor
Over the past 18 years, more than 40,000 students from across Sacramento County have learned science, explored the vernal pools, and discovered their role in protecting water quality through Splash’s Investigating Vernal Pools program. This opportunity was made available thanks to funding from municipal stormwater agencies.
This funding is now under threat because regulations no longer force municipalities to conduct K-12 programming to educate the next generation about preventing water pollution. Without public outcry, 32 teachers and 1,000 students will lose the program this year and more than 70 teachers and 2,000 students will lose the program next year.
If you value the Splash program, please take 5 minutes to share your thoughts with your elected representative on the County Board of Supervisors.
