Capital Public Radio Story about Splash

On April 7, 2011, Joe Rubin from Capital Public Radio joined Ms. Crujido's 5th grade class from Mary Tsukamoto Elementary on their Splash field trip.  Click here to listen to his compelling story about the Mather Field Vernal Pools and Splash!

Mr. Castro's 5th Grade Splash Blog

Mr. John Castro is a very cool teacher with a very cool class of fifth graders over at Earl Warren Elementary. This year, they are participating in the Splash Elementary Program: Investigating Vernal Pools.

Check out the students' blog to find out what they've been doing to prepare for their field trip to the Splash Center.  Hear about this award-winning environmental science curriculum straight from the students who are using it to learn all about the vernal pools at Mather Field.

There was never a dull moment...

My wife and I spent a wonderful afternoon with Bill Corbett and his live birds of prey. There was never a dull moment with folks of all ages attending to enjoy this educational and entertaining [Nature in the Neighborhood] program. This was our first time at Splash since moving into the Mather in July. We will be telling our friends about this terrific program.
